Exciting rumors are swirling about Nikon’s plans to release a new high-speed mirrorless camera ahead of the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Dubbed the ‘Nikon Z9H,’ this camera would serve as a speed-focused counterpart to their current flagship Z9 model.
According to anonymous industry sources, the Z9H will pack half the megapixels of the 45.7MP Z9 in exchange for lightning-fast burst shooting and advanced sensor capabilities. The camera is said to feature a global shutter, eliminating distortion from rolling shutter effects during continuous shooting. This would make it Nikon’s fastest ever FX-format camera.
