According to previous rumors, Nikon D850 sensor is made by TowerJazz. And now TowerJazz is working on a new full frame sensor with global shutter, this new full frame sensor is probably for the upcoming Nikon Full Frame Mirrorless Camera.
As rumored before, Nikon is planning to announce new mirrorless system cameras in 2018. Previous rumors said that the upcoming Nikon mirrorless camera will be full frame, now according to NR, it seems that Nikon may announce both DX format mirrorless camera and FX mirrorless camera in 2018.
According to a recently interview from Nikon Japan by Imaging-Resource, the Nikon D850‘s (Amazon/B&H/Adorama) 45.75 MP full frame BSI CMOS sensor is made by Nikon their own.
As rumored before, Nikon D820 will be announced in late this month to early next month. A source told us today that D820 will have a brand new full frame sensor megapixel at 46.5MP. This is same as what rumored before. And the official announcement date will be on July 25th, 2017. As we all know, July 25 is the date of Nikon’s 100th Anniversary, seems D820 will be announced on that day.
